Shaping Learning For Life

Stockbridge - Primary and Pre-school

Would you like your child to join our school?

Deciding on a school for your child can be a tricky business, let alone finding the ‘right’ school! Added stressors to this huge decision can be army postings, house moves, changing schools when your child is already in another school or a change in your family situation. These events on their own are tricky to manage and we do understand this.  Use the tabs below to help navigate to the most useful set of information for your family’s circumstances. Every school sets its own admissions policy in line with Hampshire County Council’s overarching policy and timetable.  Our admissions policies for this academic year and the forthcoming one can be found on the policy page.

The links below are designed to give you just the information you may need, depending on when and how you would like to join us however, the full Hampshire County Council information can be easily accessed on their admissions pages by clicking here.

Some of our families who live in surrounding villages, from which there is no safe path to walk to school, may be eligible for school transport.  You can find out if you are eligible and apply online via the transport portal by visiting Hampshire transport application pages.

You may be wondering if you live in our catchment area of course.  You can find out by clicking on the link to the catchment area finder here.   A brief overview is shown below.  We frequently admit children from outside our catchment area so don’t let that put you off applying!

Is your child due to start school in September 2022?

COVID-19 forced schools to think outside of the box when it came to open days and we know that choosing a school is not very scientific but based on a gut ‘feel’ so for last year, we created a short video to talk you through a few of the key features of our school. It felt like an impossible task to cram in all that we want to share with you!

This year, in Autumn 2021, we are pleased to be able to welcome you into school again and really look forward to meeting you.  We prefer individual appointments and therefore won’t be running any ‘Open Days’ as such.  We feel that this is important so that we can answer any specific questions you may have,  discuss a special need or circumstances you want to talk through with us and find out what’s important to you as a family.

We know how big this decision is for you – the school you choose for your child will work with you as parents to give your child the best start to their school journey as possible – the foundations are laid here.

We hope to meet you soon!
