We are very lucky at Stockbridge Primary School to have a very experienced, stable teaching staff who know all of our children well.
Whether working 1 day a week or all 5, they all value getting to know every child and this is just one of the reasons that our children are happy at school.
Having joined the school in 2011, Mrs Jefferies has seen the school grow and grow. She’s always in and out of classrooms, having taught across the primary age range. She considers herself very lucky to work with a great staff, governors and community.
With a love of Maths and PE, Miss Morris aligns so well with the passions of our Year 5/6 class Clatford, which she teaches. Having joined us in January 2025, Miss Morris brings a huge amount of experience and knowledge to the role and a passion for smalls schools and all they offer our children.
Having cut her teeth in infants and Year R as an LSA, Mrs Hughes has been with us for 5 years and amazingly, completed a degree in this time too. She is now our Year 2/3 teacher and amazing to boot! Children in her class thrive and she is also a licenced THRIVE practitioner too!
A hugely experienced teacher, Mrs Dodman joined us from September 2023 and has the delights of Mottisfont class, Year 4/5 this year having taught the majority of them in Year 2/3 last year. Nothing phases Mrs Dodman and she is always up for a challenge!
Mrs Cooper joined us in September 2017 and hasn’t looked back! This year (2024-25), she’s teaching Year 1/2 children in Redbridge class having already taught many of them and their siblings in Year R prior to this. It’s meant that she’s been able to hit the ground running and make every learning minute count for our younger children. Mrs Cooper is our music and RE leader and inspires us with different musicians each half term. Mrs Cooper is also Forest School trained and is often found in waterproofs and a warm bobble hat!
Moving back to the UK after 4 years in Copenhagen, we were lucky to snap Mrs Thomson up for our Year R class. This vital class, the first taste of primary school for our children, is vibrant and busy and Mrs Thomson and her LSA, Miss Hatt, are busy bees getting down and dirty with the children in the mud kitchen, sand pit and grappling with phonics as the children quickly learn to read.
With oodles of experience in both class teaching and SENDCo leadership, Mrs Henderson-Jones has taught right across the primary age range but is loving our Year 4/5 class this year. She is super-practical and really enjoying getting stuck into learning and getting to know her new children.
Mrs Reynolds has proved worth her weight in gold since joining us in January 2022 and is now lending her creative brain to teaching as she qualifies through our local School Direct partnership. It’s obvious that she has a natural flair for the role and always manages to find a practical way around complicated concepts.
Mrs White is our PPA and leadership cover teacher which means our children have the greatest consistency we can offer when their teacher is out of class. Joining the school in January 2025 means she is getting to know all of our children and finding her feet as the vital cog in our Stockbridge family to keep it all running smoothly.
